Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD laid the foundation stone of "Energy Bhawan", the proposed Coal Mining Headquarters of NTPC in Ranchi in the august presence of Shri AK Gautam, Director(Finance), Shri CK Mondol, Director(Commercial), Shri UK Bhattacharya, Director(Projects), Shri Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director(Coal Mining), Shri SK Sinha, HOP(CB&KD), Shri SK Ray, HOP, Talaipalli, and senior officials of Coal Mining Headquarters.

On the occasion, CMD along with Directors participated in the Bhumi Pujan and ground breaking-cum-brick laying ceremony.

Shri Singh stressed on rainwater conservation to minimise the dependency of ground water use during construction, use of fly ash bricks for construction of the office building. He advised the Mining team to ensure that the proposed new office building should be a model building with use of renewable energy and energy conservation measures.

Government of Jharkhand on 3rd. Dec.21 handed over 2.05 acres of land to NTPC at Ranchi for construction of the office complex of Coal Mining.
